OSM under the Stars at the Big O

The Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal strikes up the 5th edition of the OSM Couche-Tard Classical Spree with a free concert at the Olympic Stadium! This year’s theme is Galaxy of Heroes to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Olympic Games in Montréal. The program will feature Holst’s “The Planets”, performed by the OSM and conducted by Kent Nagano. There will also be about 100 Quebec athletes taking part.

This is an event for the whole family. In past OSM Couche-Tard Classical Spree shows (Carmen, Carmina Burana), hot dogs and beverages were for sale. A summer evening picnic under the stars with a free concert by the OSM- how wonderful is that? There will be big screens to project the concert, so don’t worry if you don’t get a front row view.

Bring something to sit on: folding chairs, blanket, or mat. Also, don’t forget a jacket and umbrella in case Mother Nature decides to add drama to the show!

The OSM Couche-Tard Classical Spree runs from August 10-13 and features 30 shows. To learn more go to www.osm.ca
